One perk gone: Yahoo says no to telecommuting
Mon Feb 25, 2013
My job requires us to be in the office but we have laptops for those situations where we need to work a little extra in the evening or on the weekend. People started abusing this immediately...screwing around all day and then logging in from home to complete their work on overtime.
More states consider ban on credit card surcharges

Will slaying of ex-SEAL Chris Kyle mar veteran job market?
Tue Feb 5, 2013
Actually, the main reason they ask is because there are tax breaks for hiring veterans. If they have two or more equally qualified candidates, that tax incentive can be the tie breaker.

Gym intimidation keeps some dudes from working out
Fri Jan 4, 2013

Sun Sep 9, 2012
The reason student loans can't be discharged in bankruptcy is because there were doctors and lawyers borrowing hundreds of thousands of dollars and then declaring bankruptcy as soon as they graduated so they could start their careers with no debt. Most students won't make great money right out of co …
Screening drinks at the gate nothing new, TSA insists
Tue Sep 4, 2012
I took four trips last year. I was "randomly" selected for extra security and pat downs each time. I really don't like being touched by strangers. There is absolutely nothing that would flag me as a security risk. I'll drive from now on.
